Bananas

Turns out bananas are no longer satisfied just lounging about in their pj’s all day.

When I think of the word ambassador, I usually think of someone running around the world spreading good will - trying to accomplish a certain task.  It’s not the kind of thing I usually associate with my mid-morning snack.  Turns out, maybe I’ve been underestimating these tasty little treats.

The Ecuador Ministry of Tourism has come up with a great way to put its 24 million tons of bananas exported annually to good use.  Each banana has a QR code placed on it that links to a promotional video of all of the cool things you could be doing in Ecuador right now.  Pretty smart, huh?  I thought so.

The next time you see a banana, don’t be so quick to judge it as just some lay about fruit satisfied to stay in bed all day!  You’d be surprised what a banana can accomplish if it decides to finally get out of its pajamas.  I know it’s a big job, but don’t worry – they’ve got plenty of energy from all of that potassium.

Take a closer look at your bananas.  Take a closer look at Ecuador!
